As digital nomads, we discovered firsthand how hard it can be to raise a dog without a strong network to fall back on, especially when language barriers limit access to local training and behaviour support. With Barkly, we hope to bridge that gap by providing clear, reliable, English‑language education for people building a life with their dogs. Our goal is to help you understand your dog better, build a stronger relationship, and enjoy a fuller life together—no matter where in the world you call home.

Our training programmes are broken down into bite-sized lessons to fit any lifestyle.

A little bit about us

Our journey started in a tiny camper van in 2019, travelling Europe with our two dogs, living and training on the road. With no access to in-person training options, we quickly discovered the importance of online services, a need which was further cemented by the pandemic just a year later.

We started Barkly to ensure that everyone has access to high-quality, easily understandable information, which is the cornerstone to building a strong, joyful relationship with your dog and giving them the best possible life.

Anne Cunningham
Trainer & Behaviourist

Anne is a canine behaviour guidance counselor and puppy development coach. She is also the founder of All About Dogs, a non-profit platform providing free, peer-reviewed information on dog welfare, and co-founder of Seriously Dogs, a business consultancy for dog professionals.

Jasper Stenger
Photographer & Puppy Pal

Jasper is a puppy development coach and dog photographer. He specialises in relationship building and focuses on kindness as a core value. In addition to dog photography, he specialises in landscape, architecture and lifestyle photography.
